Canberra offers Gungahlin Lakes and So Much More
Gungahlin Lakes is set in the most populated inland city in all of Australia, the city of Canberra. It is the home of Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club, one of the Australia’s most celebrated golf courses. The city of Canberra sits southwest of Sydney in the Australian Capital Territory. The city actually has its own unique ties to the United States of America. Canberra was actually a planned city designed by Chicago architects Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahoney Griffin.
Gungahlin Lakes also shares Canberra with the home of Parliament as well as the High Court in this capital city of Australia. The eighth largest city in all of Australia came into being almost a century ago and is fondly referred to as the “bush capital” thanks to a city design which included vegetation areas spread throughout the city. And all of this is simply the backdrop to one of the most beautiful golf courses you’ll ever find in Australia.
A short drive away from the center of the city is where you’ll find this famed golf course. As the name implies, there are many lakes spread throughout the course. At Gungahlin Lakes the prices are competitive and the atmosphere in Canberra is always right for a player to enjoy a round of 18 holes.
