Just Starting Out: Buy Used
Playing golf is not for everybody. In particular, playing golf is not for everybody’s pockets. It is easy to understand why the sport of golf has the reputation of being exclusively for the elite. But if you are on a budget, there’s no reason you can’t begin playing golf yourself.
Equipment is the first thing you’re going to need. Since quality golf clubs can cost a ton of money, why not considering buying a set of used golf clubs. Buying used golf clubs is an excellent way to experience the use of quality clubs without paying a quality price.
Here are a couple of tips to consider if you are lookig to buy used golf clubs:
1. Consider the source – you want used, not damaged golf clubs; make sure that the golf clubs were owned by someone who took good care of them prior to you having them.
2. Contact Your Local Pro Shop – while you may only think of going to a pro shop for new golf equipment, you may be able to get a lead on someone who is about to upgrade who may be willing to sell you theirs at a good price.
3. Check Online – well since you have the web, there’s no use being stuck looking locally for a set of good used golf clubs. Just remember that you may have to tack on a huge shipping fee by going this route.
